Commercial Analyst

Description:

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Analyst (Operational) to work along side the Head of Sales in this highly successful and growing Insurer based in Basingstoke. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to internal stakeholders across the business up to board level.

Key responsibilities

  • You responsible for producing regular MI at all levels. You will analyse data, spot trends, improve performance and efficiency resulting in a reduction in complaints where possible and to improve the customer experience.
  • Continuously monitor and analyse statistical information trends of the data and highlight variations from business targets, investigating anomalies with information providers and appropriate line management
  • Support the management team in analysis and in-depth investigation of issues and problems within the function to ensure consistency and robustness of data
  • Analyse and interpret management information and checks the output to ensure and maintain data integrity and consistency
  • Responsible for the maintenance of existing and development of new reporting programmes/systems/MI suites to ensure the function is able to provide for current and future business needs
  • Delivery of analysis and output on a timely basis to meet deadlines and ensure usability

Requirements:

Essential

  • A-level standard of education ideally including Mathematics, Statistics or similar discipline
  • Microsoft Excel advanced standard
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Good Communication Skills, both written and verbal
  • Punctual and able to meet strict deadlines
  • Methodical and detail conscious
  • Experience of Business Objects

Desirable

  • Experience of Microsoft Access
  • Experience of working in a complaint environment
  • Knowledge of FCA and FOS complaint regulations
