Interim Risk Manager - Insurance

Description:

A leading insurance organisation is looking for an interim Risk Manager to join their team Risk Management team on an interim base. You would report in to the Senior Risk Manager.

They are looking for someone with good experience in creating and or implementing Operational Risk processes.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:
* Identifying and mitigating operational and commercial risks.
* Maintenance of risk and control register
* Oversight of existing control regime as well as implementation of risk policies
* Manage the function and contribute to the development and delivery of appropriate compliance and reviews.
* Assessing and reviewing the existing controls to ensure their adequacy.
* Preparing the ORSA report
* Liaise with senior stakeholders in the business and act as a focal point for Operational Risk
* Driving and promoting a risk awareness culture within the organisation
* Assist in the implementation of Solvency II

Qualifications/Skills:
* Good experience in Risk management
* Insurance background and experience (preferable)
* Good understanding/insight into Solvency II
* Degree educated or strong insurance professional qualifications
* Good written/verbal presentation skills
* Highly analytical mindset
* A professional mindset with good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently
