Risk & Compliance Officer - Buckinghamshire

Description:

Due to a positive period of growth, this well respected insurer based in Milton Keynes is seeking a proven Risk & Compliance professional to join their busy and thriving team that are responsible for ensuring that the company's has systems of internal control that adequately identify measure and manage its compliance and business risks across all of its activates. You will likely have recent experience in a compliance or audit environment, keen to progress and further develop.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the implementation of a risk assessment framework including appropriate policies, tools and methodologies
  • Helping to promote a risk awareness culture within the companies and it's clients companies
  • Assisting with maintaining a disaster recovery/business continuity plan
  • Ensuring that all new initiatives, projects, services, products, processes and procedures are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting in the creation and delivery of a compliance programme ensuring that compliance with relevant policies are maintained
  • Supporting the Customer Services Manager with the management of complaints


Requirements:

Essential:

  • Preferably degree educated
  • A relevant risk management qualification or be willing to work towards one
  • Experience in a compliance/audit environment
  • Experience of Regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and to work to tight deadlines

Desired:

  • Legal experience would be advantageous
